Am I missing something here or what? The new FLTRX is less bike than the '09 FLTR and cost $400+ more, and this is a good thing? Now comes with a useless shield, 1 muffler, no tail light or cruise and people are flocking to get one?

Or how about no rear floor boards?
Or how about the 1" lower shocks?
Or how about that rear fender facia filler? (No wait that is a plus)
Or how about three colors? (Two really, Red or Black)
Damn them guys at HD, for making a bike people will buy. (a Street Glide with a Shark Nose fairing)

Hmmm, I'll field this one, or try to at least.
Let's see, you get the useless Street Glide seat. Woops, no good there. You get those fancy dancy Streamliner floorboards AND brake pedal that ....... that ..... that, oh yeah, came out on the 2004 Road King Custom. That useless lowered rear suspension which kinda kills the touring aspect of the bike, perhaps you'll save gas by not riding as far. A plus? Nah. No tail light means savings on the bulb that eventually needs replacement. That alone is worth at least $1.50. Two of those and you're halfway to a Starbucks. Then again there is that Street Glide rear fender facia (for real) that would cost a few hundred to put it all on one of our Roadies. Ok, that's one. When you throw away that OE muffler, as we all do, there's that much less in the landfills, Harley's way of going green. Ok, another plus. Cruise control, don't YOU want to "control" your bike instead of electronics? Hmm, nope, that was lame too. The excuse for a windshield? Ah yes, they're just making you think of your first bike, ya know, the wind in your hair. It's nostalgic, and that's priceless! Oooh, the painted bag latches, that's a nice touch. I actually DO want those though.
I got it!!!!! It's the new swoosh stripe. Now that actually is nicer than mine, but, other than that, I'll keep my '09 thanks. I'll just tweak it like we all do and life will be grand!

I had a '05 RG and now have a '07 RG, but I sure as hell will not own a '10 RG. It's supposed to be a touring bike, not a bar hopper! Maybe the '11's will be better. The only HD touring model for me was the RG, not sure what brand I'd buy in 2011.

Glad you think the played-out SG fascia is a plus. They could have at least come up with something new and original.
Quieter and weaker 5th gear
No tail light is not a good thing. First it is fuggin ugly w/o it and secons it is unsafe. And weren't you just bitchin' about how cheap they were for giving LED's in the rear and not in the front???
I'll give ya the headlight bezel. That is a plus.
