I had tires put on at my local dealer. They charge an hour labor for the front and an hour labor for the back at $70 an hour. They also had to run a Diagnostic and reset some codes That was an hour labor too - another $70.
I do like my dealer and it is worth it to me to have someone doing that work that I trust.
Just curious how you guys have your tires done?
I put on the E3's and after about 80 miles last night the first thing I noticed was visually I noticed the aggresive tread. When riding it the grip was impressive.
In the past I used to take the tires to the stealer and have them do it. My neighbor has made a contraption in his garage on his work bench, and now we do it there while sucking down some adult beverages. Works great.

An hour labor for install is what they usually charge. Like most vehicle mfgs. they charge a flat labor rate even though it doesn't take that long. They charge by the labor code book. I wish we only paid $70 an hour.
I'd be more concerned about the diagnostic charge. What was that for? Is that something that you asked for? Reset what codes? Was that something that was called for by the factory?
By the way, those living in Nor Cal...........Eagle's Nest HD in Lathrop, Calif. will change tires for $200. If you buy the tire and carry it out the door it's $225 but if you have them do the labor, it's only $200 installed. Just had the wife's 09 done front and rear and it was only $402 total. The special will run through Aug.

An hour each is right, if he pulled them off the bike. My indy does the same thing, He has to, to stay in business. My indy will hit you at about 25 dollars if you pull the wheel and bring it in.

A week or so ago I got drenched. The next day the bike ran like crap. Found The Harness plug from the PCIII to the computer had water in it. Cleaned it out dried it, Bike ran good again. But, shortly after the bike was started the Check Engine light would come on for a few seconds so I asked them to check it out. They say they charge a flat hour rate just hook up the diagnostic.

Anyway, they did a reset and no more light.
You better get some dielectric grease in there asap. That won't happen again if you do that.
