I put chrome spokes on mine. I like the traditional/old school look it gives the RK Custom. I got mine from HD, although since I bought it I have seen some other nice spoke wheels in catalogs and magazines. Pic is in my sig and gallery.
Hooray! Someone else doesn't like those stock wheels. I could not believe my eyes when the factory stuck you guys with those. I guess they got a deal from John Deere. Friend of mine took his off and had them chromed.....doh! There are lots of beautiful alternatives and why he did that........he's still wondering. Somebody offers the 9 spoke HD wheel in chrome at a very reasonable price.......they take the stock wheel, media blast the paint, grind the nubs off and chrome them......nice.
Check out Arlen Ness's Evil Seven chrome wheels. That is what I am considering. Also, during the river run at Lauglin, saw these guys: www. cfrmotorcycles.com and they also have a vey cool chrome wheel.

To each his own. I think the stock wheels look fine and I would never have laced wheels with tubes again, although I do like several of the after market chrome wheels.
