I got a new limited and I had the dealer install the LED brake lights Saturday, the LED bottom fender light and turn signal running light kit. Everything was fine for a 100 miles or so, but I lost the running lights. The trunk lights work, as well as the brake and turn signal lights, but no running lights on turn signals, brake, or bottom light. Anybody have any ideas? I pulled the brake light and checked connections and looked a fuses?
I'm thinking it is the brake light because everything plugs into it. I paid the dealer to install this, so it isn't my problem, I need to take it back. But I am really curious on what it could be.
I'm no electrician, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.......
My basic understanding of how H-D operates the run-brake-turn signal set up is by lowering the juice to the brake lights/turn signals so they "appear" to be running lights. Thats is if you're running a stock single filament turn signal. However, IF the turn signals are actually LED's I don'tknow. If they are the plugin LED bulbs AND you're running the HD brake/run/turn signal adapter, I'm not certain that would work at all.
