I have about 2K on the Jackpot mufflers from Fuelmoto and they seem to have broken in with a little bit more bark since the install. I am very happy with them and the performance I have gotten.
My question to you guys is, how long can I expect the original packing to last?
I realize how you ride will determine how long the packing last. Lets just say I ride with enthusiasm but, not WOT for very long and only on lonely open interstates (don't want carbon to develop in the heads, right ). Looking for an answer maybe in miles?
I repacked my Kerkers after about two years, the packing deteriorates slowly so you really don't notice them getting louder. I bought new packing on ebay, about $15 now they are back to a mellow tone.
Fuel Moto does have a lifetime warranty on their Silent Sport packing material so it shouldn't ever be a problem. If the packing ever wears out, I'm sure FM will make it right. I actually used some of Fuel Moto's packing material to wrap the baffles on the Rineharts on my last Ultra and it made a big difference. Pretty simple really. Just pack it on the baffle, wrap with packing tape, install and go ride.
