screamin eagle is fine in the motor . but for primary & tranny i use bel-ray. it makes the tranny so much happier and queit. and gear saver in primary its 80 w and the tranny is 75-140 but it is syn.
I agree too! Stay away from that Syn3 crap! I used it in my RG before, and it ran like Sh**! I've used both Amsoil and Mobil 1 in the past, and now only use Amsoil! Amsoil has done many comparisons between the top brand oils. And, the results speak for themselves.
Until something better comes along, I'm sticking with Amsoil!

I vote stay away from Syn 3. Put it in my Low Rider at 1000 and it pitched a fit. The top end chatter got unbearable. The transmission started to get noisy during shifts.
A trip to the dealer and I got the comment that that was normal twin cam running syn 3. "It's a thinner oil"
Well it came out of my ride at 2:am the next morning.
Mobile V-Twin in the engine and primary, Mobile Synthetic 75/90 in the transmission. Now she is happy again.
I had the dealer put Syn3 in my bike at the 1000 mile service. Top end noise increased, trans clunks loud now.
Yesterday bought V-twin brand syn 75-140 trans oil and V-twin 20-50 regular oil, I'll change the oil this weekend while its raining
I made the switch to Mobil 1 - 15w50 with 500 miles on my 06 RG, also switched to the HD semi synthetic trans fluid ( old stuff ) and Formula + in the primary, bike now has 4500 on it and the oils still look great. I plan to send a sample to the Blackstone Labs at 5500 when I change the engine oil, jst to see how it is holding up. . . . . with let Ya'll know the results.
