Time To Head Out
Just found out we did not get a contract we were hoping to get. Translation...10 days to ride.(time to regroup, rethink and chill out).
Bike going in to friends shop to have E3's front and rear, 10K service and a fork oil change. Will be ready Saturday.
Departing from St. Augustine, heading northwest to Lake City and pick up Hwy 441 North.
441 into Athens Georgia then west over to Gainesville to see some family. Leaving there Monday and heading northeast into Maggie Valley. Have reservations at Jonathan Creek Lodge for Tues-Friday.
Will be riding many miles everyday trying to take in all the scenery that is out there. Dragons Tail, Blueridge Pkwy, Cherahola, Ghost Town in the Sky, a little rafting.
Friday morning I will be heading out from Maggie towards Savannah Georgia for a night and then back to St, Aug. on Sunday.
I need to be back here at work on Monday the 24th to figure out what we are goiung to do for the next 6 months.
Thanks to this site, I have been compiling a travel agenda book and have researched many of the places and sights to see. I thank all who have taken the time to post their experiences and opinions regarding the Maggie Valley area attractions, accomodations etc.
I will be sure to take alot of pictures along the way. I will also be checking in here. Sometimes my sanity is maintained by reading many of the posts that are here.
If anyone from this site is around, give me a shout. It is nice to put a name to an "avatar".

Your new contract is between you and the road. Consider yourself lucky to have 10 days to ride is the way I look at it. I think like most of us, we get caught up in "Life" and forget to enjoy ourselves. Always remember there's NO guarantee's in life...one day your here and the next you might not be. Sad but true. Enjoy your ride and be safe...its the other guy I worry about
