No offense intended but if you are pumping 25 lbs maybe you need a trike....
IOW, read your owners manual.
Like I said I normally run 15-20 lbs solo. I know what the owners manual says, I'm just trying to figure out if I have a pump or connection problem. After pumping the shocks up to 25 lbs. I disconnect the pump. When I reconnect the pump, my gauge reads zero. I'm thinking it should register whatever lbs are in the shocks. Others have said that too. I'm looking for a leak somewhere or maybe a faulty pump. I haven't used it too much.
I haven't ruled out 'operator error'.
I got the HD pump and I am not happy with it at all. Its hard to use with the saddle bag or tour pack on and it seems that I lose air when I take it of the fitting. I wish HD made a small compressor with a gauge to only adjust the rear shocks.
Buy whatever you want that works. Whats wrong with buying aftermarket stuff if it does the same thing? I dont go to the dealer to buy oil and filters for my truck. I go to Napa. So if you can find a cheaper one and it does the same thing buy it. Better yet look at ebay for a used one. Then you will still get the harley name and pay a little less.

I am the king as far as looking for the best deal and had an aftermarket pump. After it gave out I bought the HD pump and never looked back.
Yes the pump should register the poundage once it is screwed on sufficiently so if it does not it has a problem.
I just ordered that pump from BKrider through Amazon. What showed up at my house didn't look like the pump in the picture at all. It's totally unmarked, unbranded, and shows no nation of origin. It doesn't even fit the valve stem on the shocks!
BK agreed to refund my money, less a 20% "restocking" fee.
Open your wallet, shake out the moths, and go for the Harley pump.
