3-Light Tour-PakŽ and Saddlebag Light Kit
Fits '93-later Touring models (except Trike) equipped with rigid or detachable King or Chopped Tour-PakŽ Luggage.
MSRP US $119.95
I installed the three light kit, and it works GREAT. has automatic shut-off after 5 minutes so you can't leave it on and run down your battery. No batteries to change or to die when you most need them, they are right there where you want them to be at all times, and can't "Peel" off as they are bolted on. Install was quick and easy, takes about 30 minutes total. The Saddlebag lights work as well as the tour pack one so when you open the saddlebag, touch the light and it allows you to find anything in your bag.
I tried the cheap alternatives for a while, but I got damned tired of having to change batteries in the dark when I needthe light..so I did the job Right.

not for 120.00.......you know how many batteries you can buy for that???
if I have dead batteries in my cheapo LED light then I'll use my lighter to find what I'm lookin for till I replace em. theres too many other things I'd rather spend that kind of money on.
Just sayin.......
I bet we could build a set pretty close to the HD kit for under $40... That price would only be due to the cost of the factory connectors other wise I bet it could be done for even less. Anyone ever gave this a try?
I use a stick on circular LED push light. It came from like WalMart in a package of 3 for dirt cheap. Works great and runs on a AA battery.
Sounds like the ticket. I'm gonna buy these 3 dot-it lights and add a key ring with LED to my fob as a back-up light and I'll be all set. No way I'll pay 120 bucks for the HD light kit. Thanks a lot.
Hmmmm, let me do some math:
HD Kit $120
Puck Lights $4
If I use one set of puck lights a year and throw them away, I can go thirty years with puck lights for the same price as the HD kit. Yep! You guessed it, I've been running the puck lights now for the second season, same batteries, used heavy duty velcro to mount them ....
I use a small circular "stick up" L.E.D. light in each of my saddle bags and one in the tour pack too. Battery operated and inexpensive. Got mine at Walmart in the electrical section. I think about $5 a piece including the battery.
Stick on light from WallyWorld. I did put on heavy duty velcro and I think I used a little Gorilla glue to ensure the velcro stuck to the light. 2 years no problems < $10
