Goodbye Roadking Classic...
Hello 2009 Ultra Classic! Just signed the paperwork on a new 2009 Ultra Classic in Flame Blue Pearl. ABS, factory security, nitro tires. I got a decent deal and after looking at completed sales for 2006 Road King Classics on eBay, I wasn't going to do much better on a private sale then I did on the trade in. The wife and I spent a couple days on a rental last week while vacationing in Florida and we knew after that we were going to get one. I hate saying goodbye to the RK...she was an awesome first HD but I know we'll be happy with the new Ultra. I was really impressed with the differences between 06-09 so it was time. Here's a pic of the one we rented. The new one I pick up on Wednesday will just like it. Now I just have to figure out how to change my forum name to match...lol!

I have the same problem as you. I sold my Road King 2 months ago and bought the 09 Street Glide. So the name lives on Roadkinglou. I was sad at first. I loved the RK. But as we know in life, things change. In this case it was for the better. I love the new bike

Congrats on the new scoot. I to traded in my '05 RKC on my new Ultra. Had almost 40K on the King and loved every one of them. The '09 Ultra is so much nicer though that I really don't know when to stop riding the darn thing. Until you're been there, you just don't get it. Now you do. Good job! Enjoy the new ride and be safe.

Congratulations on your Geezer Glide, we'll all be on them eventually. And also for helping our deflated economy by supporting your local HD dealer! Enjoy your new ride, but remember...in three years it wll be obsolete and outdated!

Wow last Saturday, I took the plunge and traded my 07 R/K Classic, for an 09 Ultra, very noticable difference, comfort and handling, Mama loves the comfort, basically why we traded up, congrats to you enjoy it.
