My 2003 SuperGlide had V&H straightshot pipes and SE air setup at the dealer. I had Hillside Cycle do a dyno and made a huge difference. Over 15,000 miles later I bought a Brand new Streetglide and man this is it! A genuine KEEPER. I just paid $430 for a set of Rinehart BUB slip-ons and now all I need is the air upgrade and a fuel module. I think I'll get the stage 1 Big Sucker. But I am real uncertain about the PCIII and all the probs I have been reading about on this site. Being that I am new here, anybodies $0.02 is appreciated.
I have the PCIII USB and havent had any probelms with it. Took about 10-15 minutes to install. Ive had it only a few weeks but its very easy to use, there are many people on here that use them, many use the SERT as well. Try this web page, I think its the cheapest you will find a PCIII....its where i got mine, fast delivery.
I'd just do a Stage 1 download and run with it. PCIII is a good unit, but kinda overboard unless you do a big bore setup and some cams. Plus, HD may not like you over-riding their ECU with the PC if you have some warranty issues. My FLTRI has Big Bore, 204's, etc. and the HD Fuel Tuner. The Fuel Tuner is a pretty slick little box and my bike runs great and retains very acceptable mileage....better than some stockers.
The flash download is cr*p! Don't do it. Any H-D tuners are sold by stealers b/c of better profits.
Heard some good stuff about V+H fuel pak. I have the PCIII. I like it. I have heard they stand behind the products. They are plug and play so if you have a problem, remove it before taking it to a stealer if you are concerned about the warranty.
EasternPerformance had the best price on PCIII when I bought mine 10 months ago. Quick shipping as well.
Buy the pclll from fuelmoto. They have a ton of maps available. I wish I had known about them when I bought mine as I am now in search of a map for my set up. Wish Dynojet would post correct maps for bikes with the 25 degree injectors.
