hey all. i know this has been asked to death, and i did check for old threads first, but i can't find front axle, fork cap nuts and brake caliper torque values specific to my 2004 FLHTC. i've got FSM's for my other bikes, but haven't bought one yet for this bike, so i could sure use some help. thanks in advance.
Out of the 04 Touring manual:
Front axel torque is 50 - 55 ft. lbs. Cap nuts are 132 - 180 in. lbs. Disk caliper mounting bolt torque is 28 - 38 ft. lbs. If you need anything else let me know.
(That's all the love I got for you man!)

thanks bones you are the man!.....i'm not gonna pester the hell outta ya.....i'm gonna buy my own FSM after i recover financially from the trip i'm about to take. shiny side up!
All torque values are specific to the nut/bolt being torqued - in general, the value is the stress point of the fastener, not the stress point of the part being fastened. And with good reason - if you screw up and over torque the fastener and it fails - your very expensive part is OK, just get another fastener. (if you are dealing with the engine/trans - STOP - make sure you are OK.
That is why (with a few exceptions) the bolt/nut size/class is listed with its torque value.
