Hey Guys,
Excuse me sounding DUMB here, lol...but I just bought my first Harley (2002 Electra Glide Classic) It was a repo so I don't have a manual yet. My question is about the fluid levels. How much oil, primary and trans fluid go into my resovoirs. I have been told by a guy with a 1998 EG Classic to put a gallon of oil in, but I don't remember the others. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!!!!
If you don't have a service manual, get one. You can order one from Zanotti's or Chicago Harley or your dealer. They're great for doing any kind of work on your bike. As for oil, go to the oil section on this forum. All kinds of opinions as to types of oil as well how to check/change your oil. Good luck.
OK, here is some help on touring models. Crankcase oil with filter change is 4 qts. primary fluid change; 32 oz or 1 qt. Transmission is 24 oz. Dot 5 in the brakes cylinders.
