Default Baker 7 speed

Have a riding bud who has a 07 ultra CVO. He's thinking about putting a Baker 7 speed in it. Anybody have any experience or info on this conversion?

Why? Is he going racing? Otherwise I would think it's a waste of time and money.

I don't understand the need for lots of gears either. BMW has just introduced a new car with eight gears! Have they never heard of torque?!

I don't really have an opinion one way or the other, to each his own. I can just imagine everyone said the same thing when we went from 3 gears to 4, funny how it goes around.

Excellent point! The same when we went to five. But if we all drive around at say 60-70 mph on the open road there comes a time when the journey through the gearbox might get in the way to progress....
