On the way back from Sturgis, my rear wiring harness came off the clip and the rear tire rubbed through it, causing numerous electrical problems. Put it in the shop and found that no Harley dealer in the area (west MN and east ND) has one in stock and that the distributor has then on back order. Three weeks with no bike. Looked on the internet but found shipping times of 4-6 weeks. Any ideas
Had the same thing happen with my Road King. Luckily it just wore through the brake light wire and halfway through one of the t/s wires before I caught it. Just cut out the damaged parts of the wires and soldered in replacements. I'd check with some of the larger dealerships in the country to see if any have one in stock.
