Default center stand question?

Anybody here use the Wheeldock stand to remove the rear wheel? How about the Rivco or MoCo one?

I don't think you get enough height. I still had to put my bike on a jack and get it up there fairly high to get the wheel clear of the fender. Of course, I was working single handed, so I wanted to have as much space as possible. The job requires at least three hands.

I don't have a centerstand, but correct me if I'm wrong I don't think it will lift the bike up that high to get the rear wheel off.

The reason I'm looking: I pull a trailer and burn through rear tires like you wouldn't believe. I can add a set of tire irons to the compressor in the tool kit and swap tires on the road, but without a way to pull the wheel I'm stuck getting bent over by the $teeler...

So a center stand and a bobbed rear fender... Hrmmm, this could work

That would be the last time the average rider changed their own tire...

The Wheeldock is a ride-off stand. It doesn't lift the rear tire off the ground by itself. Wheeldock does suggest using a piece of 1/2" plywood under the stand to lift the rear wheel off the ground but I never got the impression it would be high enough to remove the wheel from the bike. I could be wrong. Mainly, I thought it would make cleaning and checking air pressures a little easier.

Looks like 1984 was the last year for the hinged FL rear fender... Hrmm, even better idea than a bob job...
