OK. I have to admit it. I rode mine once with shorts on. We went about 3 miles to dinner. Stopped the bike, let the wife get off, put down the sidestand and promptly rested my right leg against the right side exhaust. OUCH!!!!!! Called my daughter from the restaraunt and had her bring me a pair of jeans. Will never, ever ride in shorts again. Still have the burn scar from almost 2 years ago! Oh yeah, and dinner sucked!
The one that baffles me is when passenger has the real nice jacket with pads and all and his girl friend in on the back with daisy dukes, tank and sandles or heels. I have seen this more than once especailly on friday nights.
extremely common here as well (shorts)-- BUT i must say i have not encountered anyone without shoes on -- mostly all the ladies on the back have on high heels and short dress or almost nothing at all

Had to run and pick up a part from my buddies house 4 blocks away. Burned the hell out of my right leg in that short of a distance. Never again will I wear shorts.
I used to ride in shorts all the time until about 10 years ago when riding down the road I encountered some bugs. Which turned out to be bees they went right up the shorts. I ended up in the e-room finding out that I was allergic to them buggers.
Now the riding without shoes?
That's nuts!
....Quite a site to see... YELLOW and I do mean solid, scream at you, YELLOW Goldwing! That thing stood out like a turd in a punch bowl!!
I bet he has no problem finding his ride parked among hundreds of others at bikeweek-type events!! I saw a scream-at-you yellow HD Screaming Eagle pulling a color-matched cart on I-95 Saturday, and I thought it looked pretty sharp. Doesn't EVERYONE want their ride to stand out from all the others?? Isn't that why you have those YELLOW and red / orange flames? jus' askin.
I guess thats why they make chocolate and vanilla.....everyone has different tastes.
