I've noticed this several times on my '94 FXDS and also on my '82 FXE. Glad to hear that others are experiencing this phenomenon too. Thought I was the only one!
Now I know that "It's normal, they all do that".

It could be the bike ...... then again, it could also be the RIDER. We all have our good days and off days. Some days, I'm just not as 'in tune' with the bike and I now the bike hasn't changed so it's probably me.

Same here. Some days better than others. Can't really say I've had a day as bad as the one you describe but I've certainly had days that everything seams be in tune. Just last week when I got home from riding I told my wife, "I can't figure it out but the bike has just given me the best ride I've ever had". Everything was clicking, smooth , powerful, responsive. I guess our bikes are just like us. We don't always have the best of days.

yep - somedays you're in the groove others you're not! I've had that happen before that's for sure. I've been playing drums for over 25 years and the same thing happens - tear it one day without even thinking about it - next day or week and it's like I've never seen a drumset before! weird....
