got E3 installed, have question
Hi all, just got my E3 on and wow this bike feels so much better. My question is, I had a 150, 402 before and now have the MU90. Didnt want a e3 150 cuz I heard they were taller than the mu90. Well I noticed right away this mu90 is taller than my last 402. I have stretched bags and fender and I miss the look of the low height I had. How much taller are these tires? I didnt think this was going to happen.

maybe its cause your other tire was worn out and this one has all its tread?
the mu90b16 is equivalent to a 140/90-16 which has a total diameter of 25.9"
a 150/80-16 has a total diameter of 25.4"
that is gonna make your bike sit an extra .25" higher than before....

As was already pointed out, the difference should be unnoticeable except for the fact that the old tire had probably about 1/4" less tread (1/2" less diameter) all-round compared to a new one. Another factor may be the profile, as the MU90 has a slightly taller carcass and looks higher even though it isn't significantly so.

I ran the D402 front for about a year with no problems, except that is the D402's irritating groove-tracking behavior, but that's something you'll have to live with 'til you replace it. As for compatibility of running an E3 rear and D402 front there is no issue.
