Hi all, just got my E3 on and wow this bike feels so much better. My question is, I had a 150, 402 before and now have the MU90. Didnt want a e3 150 cuz I heard they were taller than the mu90. Well I noticed right away this mu90 is taller than my last 402. I have stretched bags and fender and I miss the look of the low height I had. How much taller are these tires? I didnt think this was going to happen.
Per the Dunlop website: The D402 (MU85B16) have an overall diameter of 25.71" and the E3 (MU90B16) have a diameter of 25.72". You should not even notice the difference.
thanks for dimension on tires. I must of been thinking to much about it and then started believing it was higher than it was.
As was already pointed out, the difference should be unnoticeable except for the fact that the old tire had probably about 1/4" less tread (1/2" less diameter) all-round compared to a new one. Another factor may be the profile, as the MU90 has a slightly taller carcass and looks higher even though it isn't significantly so.

I ran the D402 front for about a year with no problems, except that is the D402's irritating groove-tracking behavior, but that's something you'll have to live with 'til you replace it. As for compatibility of running an E3 rear and D402 front there is no issue.
