E3 question
What air pressure are you guys running on the E3s?
I'm currently running 35PSI rear (160/80-16) and 33PSI front on my '08 FLHTC.
They feel a bit harder than the 402s so I'm a bit leery about upping them up to 40PSI / 35PSI for a 2-up trip.
What do you guys think?

36 front, 40 rear.
Check the maximum allowable pressure on the side of the tires. As long as you're under that, don't worry about how hard they feel.

I have found over the years running tires with too much pressure will prematurely wear out the center of the tire. I always run with the recommended tire pressure in the book and get good mileage.

Just back from an 8400 mile trip, most of it 2 up. One morning I noticed a noise like a bearing howl coming from my rear wheel. I listened to it for a ways, then rode up beside one of the guys I was ridin' with to ask if he could hear it. About the time I caught him it went away!?! Thought about it the rest of the day, & checked the tire pressure the next morning. I was about 4 lb. low from my normal 40. Increased the pressure, & no howl. Happened again about a week later. The E3's on my RG don't like low pressure. 40 psi front & rear gave good performance the entire trip. We ran interstates, Lassen N.P., Crater Lake, CA. 101, Avenue of the Giants, Yosemite, Death Valley, & a bunch of other highway. Put more air in your tires!
