I have the ones from Kuryakyn on mine. Has the LED fuel gauge and voltage meter on it. It is very easy to read during the day and isn't to bright at night.
I love both the speedo and the flush mount 'caps'. Both are on my list to do. Is there anything special to do to mount that speedo to read rpm? That would be nice to have, but a chunk of change. So, the flush mount fuel cap and fuel gauge is just plug and play? They don't cost a lot and are more in my budget at the moment, until I get back from Disney this summer, money is tight.
I have installed the flush mount fuel gauge and gas cap. easy to do just frustrating trying to fish the extra wireto the speedo in the factory harnes. the blue lights do bug me a little at night. makes me think high beam light are on. but over all the are really nice.
They just stopped working? Any idea as to why it happened? 38 days is the shortest life span I have seen on a LED light. Thought those things were suppose to be good? I likie the look of them, and I ride by my milage, not the guage, as I am sure you do. I assume it still looks good, why not just leave it and go strictly by milage?
I will leave them for the time being. I dont know if it was water or poor construction. LED is not harley davidsons strong point. I am on my 3rd led oil temp gauge in 6 weeks.

you have the same luck with led's as i have with cell phones. can you hear me n......
I installed the flush mount caps on my 06 Lowrider and they look great BUT one of the LED lights went out. HD Warranty is 90 days and it was 110 days "old" when I complained at the dealer when I had my bike serviced. The lady at the parts counter went back to the service dept. and asked "what they could do". She came back with a big "Sorry, it's past 90 days. Yeah, we've had that happen allot with tose LEDs". I said "What would stop me from buying a brand new gauge/cap set, putting the bad gauge in the box, and returning it for my money back?". She said "Well, do what you gotta do". I haven't done it yet but it looks like that's my only option. It pisses me off since they were $200 and (although they're older than the 90 days of the warranty) they've hardly been "used" all. It's not like I ride my bike every day for hundreds of miles.
Sounds like HD has widespread problems with those LEDs.
