Hey all- I've been through most - if not all threads- on the Rineharts- especially the slips and their baffle issues (not able to swap out)
I was seriously considering the Rinehart slips until I saw the threads..I'm now considering purchasing the Rush tip compatables, some nice tips, and a pre-mapped PC3 from fuelmoto folks...
here's my Q to ya'll with the experience with Rush vs. the Rineharts...
Rinehart slips, or Rush slips? (my budget only allows a PC3 to go with them)..I already have the SE breather kit..
Expeiriences with the folks from Fuel moto? So far, they've been very responsive in my price requests..
Thanks in advance!
From my prospective...neither. I've had them both and both have issues. Rush tarnished a nice gold tone, twice (they were nice enough to replace the first set free). They both sound good, though.
I have Rinehart TD,s and love em, but from what I've seen, the Rush stuff is top notch. I'd also look into BUB, they manufacture Rinehart, but their product, while similar to Rinehart is different, and real nice too. IMO, Rush, Rinehart and BUB are all three awesome pipes, can't go wrong.
I love rineharts on my 00 RK, I went with the power package from Fuel-Moto and used the jackpots on my 07 FLHTP. You didn't mention what year bike, I would recommend the PCV over the PCIII do to the AutoTune feature. Try to find some bikes with the pipes you are interested in and listen to them, only way to make a call in IMO.
The Rush pipes have a chrome pipe cover, which can be purchased seperatly, so if they happen to turn color they're covered. The packing around the baffles will burn out according to those who've owned them, so if you decide to go Rush order them from Fuelmoto and request the silient sport packing for an additional $30.00
I have the Rush with the new packing and IMO top notch. +1 on the new packing if you do go with the Rush get the new packing with it. If your looking at cost you might want to look into the Cobra Tuner as well. And Jamie at Fuel Moto great guy and great service. Good luck and Ride safe.
