I have been looking at maybe getting a RK and came across a used 05 RK Custom with only 500 miles on it (that is not a typo). It looks brand new since only has 500 miles on it and has a stage one done, some custom pinstripping, seat and passenger removeable backrest.
Anything to look out for on the 05's and what would be a good price. It looks like I could get it somewhere between 13 and 14k.
While it has some extras none of them would probally stay on the bike. Looks good just not my style and would it will probally need paint since the pinstripping isnt me and is all hand painted.
An '05 FLHRS with 500 miles. That's quite a find. They're awfully nice bikes, but I may be a little prejudiced. I'd offer 12k and see if he'll bite. Probably not...but just maybe.
Wow, a 5 year old bike with 500 miles. Feel bad for the bike sitting in a garage for 5 years. With 500 miles there's not much to worry about, but I believe the '05 was the one with the bad valve guides that caused excessive oil loss. They were replacing them under warranty, but that ship has long sailed.
