Default Chrome Wheels

I am seriously looking into a set of chrome wheels for my 07 Ultra BUT am I the only one who thinks that almost $2800 is crazy expensive? That is what it will cost for 18" Chrome wheels, 2 front rotors, new tires mounted/balanced, and shipping. I know they would look great but good lord!

Thanks for letting me rant.

That's the exact reason I sent my stock wheels off to ChromeProsPlating and had them chromed. They did a great job, it's been over three years, no chipping, peeling, and they grind the nubs off so that they are smooth with just the nine spokes. Both wheels for $550. Maybe when my ship rolls in I'll go for some PM, HogPro, or other nice wheels, but that's a ton of $$ for me. I do envy those that have em though, they look GREAT!

Crazy money, I agree. I think the wheels and tires on my Jeep and truck cost less than 800 bucks a set.

Unless your rich it's a lot of money considering you can't really see the rear wheel and the front has a rotor on each side covering up a big portion of the wheel.

That is why you pay extra for the matching rotors. j/k

I looked into getting some custom rims, but for what they cost it will have to wait. They do make a bike look great though.

I did the wheel exchange with Impress Plating and Polishing. Wheels with bearings and 2 year warranty. Excellent quality. The stock rotors don't bother me a bit.

i got the front one anyway, the 9 spoke harley chrome one. what an amazing difference on my 08 streetglide. no longer does my bike look like an agricultural implement. those streetglide slotted disc wheels do look like they belong on a massey ferguson or something that plows fields. the 9 spoke chrome are a great alternative to the 1500 doller per wheel thing. and you still get a tire that is fat enough to actually cushion the ride. works for me.

I agree. I thought the cost of chrome wheels for my bike was ridiculous. So I powder coated them instead. $100.00 for both wheels.

Little elbow grease and some polishing compound and you can make those rotors look sweet.. I bought some real h/d wheels on ebay and polished my rotors my self.

I don't think you can beat the look of the Chrome 9 spoke wheels. I'm going to do the exchange also when the funds allow.
