2009 Street Glide Fairing Question
I have an 09 Street Glide. The inner fairing is a Matte (dull) finish. I seen the bike with the Painted High gloss finish to match the bike. It comes on the 2010 CVO. Called HD and they want $800.00 to change the inner fairing facia. Do you know if its possible to just take the bike to a body shop and have them paint it without having to remove all the gages and such. How do you think it would come. Has anyone painted there faring.

There are a lot of people who do paint the inner fairing. However my guess would be that it will cost a lot more to paint without removing the gauges. It would take longer to tape all of them up then it would to just remove the innder fairing, so your labor cost would go up. If you just took the inner fairing in and had someone paint it, it should't cost moe than a couple hundred to shoot it.
