Default Lights, Wires, & Help

I am installing a set of passing lamps with the turn signals and hit a problem that has me stumped. I have a 2005 Road King Custom and it has two aux switches - I assume one side is for the passing lamps because it kills the power when the brights are turned on. The power on the other switch is reversed. Both have two wires, but the power is on a different side of each plug feeding the switches.
Here is the next item that has me stuck - when the switch is in the "off" position the lights are on, and when it is in the "on" position, the lights are off.
Everything else is wired in and working fine. Looking for any suggestions. Could the second aux switch be for items like heated gear?

Thanks

I've never done anything with the switches, but is it possible the AUX switch was originally installed upside-down? That would explain why the power wires were on the oposite side of the other one.

No, the switches have a groove in the bottom that will only allow them to be installed one direction.

the switch does power your aux circuit, it might just have the wires on the back of the switch reversed. other than for asthetic purposes there really is no problem. on is on, off is off.
