For $50 they seem like they will be a good investment. I'll pick up a pair of them on the next 20% off day at the dealer.

Can't tell you how long they will last and will admit prior to being aware of these new premium hinges, I can't say I ever gave a thought to the OE hinges.

But I can tell you the premium hinges look great and I think it's a great bang for the buck upgrade for the tour pak.

I don't believe you can expect an increase in HP/TQ.

Sorry. Couldn't resist

At 4 years and 40000 miles.............the stock hinges are just plain worn out. Or I should say the hinge pin is worn, the actual hinges look fine and the rivets are still very tight.

Maybe I can replace just the hinge pins...................Dawg is that possible?

If that's what you want to do, I believe I still have my take off hinges and I can send them to you and you can disect them. There is a pin on one end and a screw goes into the pin from the other end.

Thanks Brad............but I think I'll just go with the premium hinges. I'm sure the hinges are worn were the pin rubs, so it will be best to just get new ones.
