I just placed an order for a 15" light tint with recurve for my RKC. Does anyone have one of these shields and if so could I see some pics? I've read alot of good things about Clearview and all the positive post on the forum made me decide to purchase from them.
I just put one on my RG and WOW! the difference is very noticable. It is alot thicker so it seems to magnify everything you see thru it,Just a bit. I love the windless pocket it creates for me. I still feel wind but not a 75mph wind, and I can hear my tunes alot better. You should be very happy. The customer service fron John was great too.
Mine is 2" shorter than stock, whatever that is? 17"???
Take real care installing it. Mount the frame (bracket??) on the bike and line things up that way.
It's tough with the double-sided tape, but you don't want to stress the shield when you snug the nuts on the screws. Mine has cracked in a couple of places, and it was simply "installer error".
Got a 17" clear. Bought it a couple months ago. Beautiful shield, stops front buffeting and allows enough air around the shield to get fresh air at highway speeds.
Had a 16" king shield before this and I'm still looking way over the top of the shield and not getting wind in face. Nice.
Hey Johnny, Did yo get the stock height replacement ? Do you have the chrome trim on the bottom of windshield? If so dose it work with the thicker windshield? Thanks
I did get the stock replacement but that means it is 1/2" taller and it worked great for me,I am 5'11" and no I don't have the Chrome piece on the front, just the regular rubber trim piece they sent to me. I really had to work at getting it on there right, but it fits very tight,no vibration, and I don't worry about it comming off. While up on Grandfather mountain this summer on our Vacation a huge gust of wind came up and took my H-D tall shield right off my bike and broke it in half. I had to drive 2hrs to a dealer to buy a shield.
