I would like to replace stock slip ons with rush slip ons do i need to remap or can i just put new after market slip ons will my bike still run the same any help would be great
Hey LawnGuy --- Some guys here are just know-it-all, pains in the a$$ & you'll never get a straight answer from them.
Anyway, I have Rush on my EG Classic, but I also have a Race Tuner & been on a Dyno. Took me a long time to decide to take the Harley plunge, so I did everything anyway. I've heard that just putting on the slip-ons won't require anything else. Also, I have 2.5 baffles in mine. Love 'em! The loudest that Rush makes, but just right (IMO) for a bagger. Go to a dealer on a Sat morning & ask around. Maybe you'll hear different sizr baffles, to see what you like. 2.5 for me. 1.5 not loud enough, for me.
What baffle size are you going with? Probably don't need a remap but you are better off if you do. Case in point with my bike: I put on Screamin Eagle slip-ons, thats all, and the bike ran hotter. Just put the stock mufflers back on last week and it runs cooler and stopped the mild pinging.
If you stay with a 1.75" baffle you should be fine since is is close to stock. Any bigger and you will need a remap and a/c. That is advise from my dealer.
