Says its a Screamin Eagle, which I know is not correct but still was interested in buying the bike to re-sale. Noticed the area code was not a NC code and looked it up.........Oregon!! Are scammers this good to place ads in papers 3000 miles away? I've called the number a couple of times to get the info on the bike, but no answer. May be a good deal for someone if it is true. Paper lists it at 13K, so it had to be reduced recently.

Yeah, Ebay I could understand, but it costs about $75.00 to run a 5 day add in the Charlotte Observer depending on size, and its payment due before publish. So, kind of pricey to be a scammer and having to pay up front. I'm not going to Oregon anytime soon, so will have to pass, but 13K for that bike sounds pretty tasty. If anyone buys it, just send me a 12 pack of Bud Light in the bottle for a finders fee!
I THINK ITS A SCAM. THEY WANT YOU TO RESPOND VIA EMAIL MAYBE TO GET YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, THIS MAY BE A KIND OF PHISHING THAT IS NEW. I BELIEVE IF ITS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE.......
Seems odd that someone legit would place an ad in a local paper so far away.I could see it if the ad was like on E-bay our some nationwide classified thing.
Harley does sell Sreamin Eagle models that are set up by Harley or the dealer's.
You just have to watch what info you give them.I think they nail you when it comes down to giving a deposit.
If it is a scam i'll bet you they will not let you see the bike in person.
There is a chance that its a crypted message with a bogus number. Given that it costs more than a trival amount to run the ad. At least that's the wat they do it in the movie's anyway.
