Question Adding ABS on SG?

I have a eye on two used 09 SG with out ABS-I called the HD dealer service and was pushed to parts-he said buy a new bike. Has anyone added ABS to there 09? Is it the basic $795 parts and basic wrench skills? Thanks- I was waiting 10mo. for the 2010 to come out-big disappointment no oem 103" motor. I'm not sure I can wait for the 2011-big investment-worth the wait.

HD has made no provisions to add ABS to non-abs bikes. I will never buy another bike without ABS if it's available.

ABS is a factory installed option. It cannot be "added" later. Maybe, in the near future, someone will be able to figure it out. Until then, the bike has to come from the factory with ABS.

Default no ABS?

You definitely want the ABS if you can get it. If not, take a look at the TCB Brake System. Next best thing. Not a replacement, but better than ignoring the situation.

I bought my 09 Ultra thinking I'd just add the ABS later. No such luck!!! I've been told by everyone it's a no-go. I've got it on my Road King and sure wish I had it on my Ultra as well.

ABS should be standard on all vehicles.

Dont bother, HD ABS is dangerous. Check out:

You can stop a lot faster without it.

abs? man if you can't ride a bike without abs, then you may have bigger issues going on. what's gonna be next, an air bag like the goldwings? the best abs ever invented resides between your ears. just pay attention while riding, huh?
