Default Handlebar Wire Harness on 2010

I just traded my 2005 Road King Custom for a 2010 Street Glide. This forum is fantastic and so full of great ideas, I can't wait to get started with my enhancements. I just noticed that the handlebar wire harnesses are held to the handlebars with simple wire ties. I thought my dealer must have changed something but saw that they are shown on the HD web site as well. How cheesy is that?

That's how they come. You can internally wire bars if you change them out.

My 09 is the same, the only time I notice it is when I am cleaning the bike. When I am riding I don't notice the wire ties at all. Might be watching out for cagers or enjoying the view depends on where I am. Even when I changed the bars to 2" pullbacks that made a big difference for me I opted not to run the wires internaly. Realy don't notice them much with the fairing & all.
