Well my friend consider yourself fortunate. My wife rides with me simply because she loves me; she is not in love with riding or the bike-- and I just do not want to spoil what I have. As for me and my house,
'tis far better to tow and ride than not to ride at all.

I posted early on in this thread and since then my trailer and hitch came in. Well it's all installed and hooked up so I thought I'd share a pic of my new rig.

Hey that looks great! I have the same bike, so I'm looking forward to reading about your impressions about towing with the Ultra Classic!

Hi All.
I just ordered my first trailer from a guy here in the UK. There are real hard to get hold of here!
I have just finished installing my MCHitch towball that I heard about from this site (thanks) onto my 07 RK Custom.
Here's a few pics of how I have tried to keep it hidden when not in use.
I have made the 12" connector so that I can pull the trailer with either the bike or a truck (different plug).

Thanks all.
Rowle.

No its great !
Ride to where you are going, put the tent up ( and all the other stuff the wife needs !)
Dump the trailer, and spend a week riding a few hundred miles fast as you like with your mates !
Rowle.

I'll have to admit that I enjoyed my trailer this year. This was my first time pulling a trailer with a bike, and getting all the weight off the bike was really nice.

Thank goodness this thread isn't about pulling a trailer behind a cage.

I pull a Harbor Fright Haulmaster Tag A Long. It seems to be a good little trailer for a budget price. It is stable and surefooted at highway speeds even tho it says max 55 MPH. All I need to do is upgrade the lighting and maybe some chrome in the future.

To pull a trailer has a lot to do with how much the trailer and cargo combined, weighs. Its crutial you don't have don't over weigh your trailer and cargo. Other then that, it's an amazing solution to a luggage need.
Course there's many kinda of trailer out there too, and I find the single wheel platform to handle the greatest hands down, if it supplies you enough cargo space
