Pulled trailers for over 60,000 combined miles. The stopping distance is increased and does take getting used to. No other problems. Blew a rear tire off the rim at 65mph once and the trailer actually helped stabilize. Didn't ever figure that happening... it just did. Ride simple now. If it doesn't fit the bike it stays home.

While out in Sturgis this year we met a couple who used a trailer hook up...meaning they had two extra back wheels for stability. They could actually unbolt the assembly at the campground and ride normal. They said the added stablilty was a godsend. I don't trailer yet but when I do I will do it that way!!!

Another vote for bushtec. I use mine for going to the grocery store to the nursery for plant and stuff for the yard to just about anything I need to haul. It is a turbo+2 I believe 25 cubic feet of storage.

Trailers, I love em...

I've got two trailers. Built my first one to haul the dogs out to the lake about four years ago. It has become my default work trailer now, hardly ever drive the truck anymore.

My other trailer is a Champion touring trailer, made by Champion Sidecars....

Hauling some extra Harley parts home from Reno... with my dog "Rufus"

Dang! I love the idea of using a trailer for hauling stuff around town. Would mean I could ride even when I need to pick something up. Problem is, I called my dealer after seeing this post. Told me that it's now grounds to void all warranty coverage. Including drivetrain, electrical... the whole enchilada. I wouldn't normally care but I just bought a new 2010 and want to make sure everything is taken care of.

That's the one I'm going with. This black one was selling for $1,499 at a Victory Rally in Northern Iowa earlier this summer. But I'll probably wait until spring to add a hitch and trailer. I don't have any more long rides planned until next year...

Love my Aluma! This is a trailer I built this spring to pull our bicycles. Works great!

Since I started this a couple of weeks ago was at the stealer the other day asked the salesman I bought the bike from about the warranty, he said look in the owners manual and it says that it voids the warranty, but also said to unbolt hitch if you have to take bike in for any work.
thanks for all of the replies guysthere has been a ton of good info on this thread.

I did the Harbor Freight thing too. I take my youngest son camping. When the camping gear comes off I can haul is dirt bike out to his favorite riding area.

Holy Chit. Sorry about the size of the pics. Just learning how to add 'em
