i'm guessing that the guy telling you this had both arms fully tatted, had the harley window sticker on his chevy truck while he was wearing the harley tee shirt, but wasn't riding a harley? just sayin' ya know? i never felt the need to dress up like a pirate or one of the village people to ride my bike, thanks anyway, i'm not a biker, but rather a motorcycle enthusiast.
No ink - been riding since I was 7 years old. Never could think of anything I wanted on my body FOREVER.
I design and/or collect patches for the unit's I've been in instead. Got a drawer full of them instead of having military or bike imagery permanently on my body.
I do think tats are interesting on other people. Creative / tasteful ink on pretty girl can be rather attractive as long as she never ages and her tats never fade or get saggy.
1) I'm not a "biker". I happen to own a bike, that happens to be a Harley.
2) I do not have tats. The owner's manual makes no mention of a tat requirement.
3) I am a "poser". I have a white collar career. I have chit loads of chrome on my super clean RKC, and big fat guys with beards, pierced faces and tats, riding Harleys intimidate me.
4) Even if I wanted a tat, I couldn't find one to match my suit and tie I wear into the office each day.

My ol lady has more tattoos than i do. What class does that put me in? Darn, guess i ain't really a "biker" after all. I know several 1%er's that have no tattoos. They would all say the same thing, they didn't want anything they could be identified by. Same here. I made that decision years 25 years ago when i was a club member that if i ever had to i could just disappear, cut hair and beard and no one would recognize me. Kinda hard to do that if you got a big eagle on your arm with "killer" wrote across it and flames shooting out his ***.
Started with tattoos before started riding.....so just maybe
tattoos turned me on to riding.
6 tattoos, 3 on each arm......
One is a ZZ Topp design with my son's initials inside
Another is a design my son created...( we both wear this )
A third tattoo is my own design.....
I'm just a fortunate 52 year old man with an understanding wife....
Not sure what a 'real biker' is....not sure I care either.
I / We ride for the pure enjoyment.....never gave a $hit what
others thought.
