Roadking Whine
I have a 2002 RKC 31000 miles on it. Recently, I noticed that as I shift through the gears I hear a faint whine as each gear is changed. Sort of a increasing whine from going up as I wind it out. Does anyone else hear this on their RK? I recently changed from Bel Ray Gear Saver to Harley standard transmission for the transmission fluid.

I'd pull the cam cover and check to see if your spring loaded cam tensioners are going south. I heard the same thing on my bike and when I checked it out, I needed to replace the cam tensioners. a But they completely came apart, so I decided to go with the SE Hydraulic Tensioner Kit with the high volume oil pump. But you're much better off to check it early before things really come undone, cause then you're going to have a HUGE expense. Good luck.
