I sold by BMW and bought an Ultra in July. My Wife had a knee replacement just a couple of days after the purchase. The recovery did not go well and it appeared that she might not be able to ride with me again. She was having too much pain and could not bend her knee enough to get on the passenger floorboard.
About three weeks ago she had a second surgery. This time a much better result. Saturday we went for about a 40 mile ride. Sunday about 90 miles. She is doing well and actually wanting to go more. I am really happy that she is enjoying riding again.
Now we can start planning some real touring. I have a hitch to install and a trailer waiting to pull. I am hoping we can get out for a long weekend yet this Fall or a longer trip next summer.
