Default Street Glide question

Comparing the 09/10 SG to the RK or the Ultra or other tourers....... is it just the rear that has been lowered on the SG or is the front a little lower as well?

In other words, if you put the Ultra's rear shocks on the SG, would it have the same ride height, cornering clearance and lean angle???

The street glide is only lowered in the rear. I don't see why you couldn't put the ultra shocks in the rear and rais it.

The Street Glide is lowered in the front as well. I lowered just the rear on my Ultra and it is still taller than a SG.
Yes you can put taller shocks in the rear and get some improvement.
Raising the front isn't that difficult or expensive if you do it yourself (cost is mainly labor).

THanks, what would I need to do this - parts? tools?

I have an '10 SG and I put 13" touring shocks on it.
The stock lowered shocks where just too harsh of a ride for my "older" back.

So what is the verdict on the front end - is the SG front end lower than the ultra??

I just bought an 09 SG and its pretty rough on my back also.
do the 13" shocks make a big differance?
what if you put the 13" shocks on a SG with a rear lowering kit to keep the same height?

rear shocks are the only difference in the chassis

The taller shocks made the bike for me, you will not regret adding the 1"
My '10 SG with the 13" rear touring shocks sitting next to my '09 RG....the saddlebags look to be at the same height.
If I could ever get help in the garage, I would measure them just to confirm for myself.
Don't know about the usefullness of the lowering kit and going with the taller touring shocks, unless it's a flat foot issue.
My SG got my stock RG seat, so I'm sitting taller on the SG with a little more coush....NICE.
The SG still looks lower from the rear because of the rear fender.
