Friend of mine is having trouble with his 02 RK with 35K on it. The engine light started coming on while riding and at the same time the tach would bounce between 0 and 3000 RPM. Engine never missed a beat. No miss or loss of power. There are no error codes showing when he checked them. He changed the plugs thinking it may be a weak spark causing the engine light to come on. Didn't help. Anyone else ever have this problem.

 

Mine did that but the security light came on also and I dont have security.. ended up being a faulty TSM .. I also had codes..

 

I know this is a very old thread but I'm having the same issue I can't find much help on the internet did you ever find a solution
