Default How much wind on your hands wit RG?

I am getting ready to move from a SG to a RG, I ride all year around and find the SG to really keep the wind of my hands during the cold weather. I am worried the RG will not do the same.

Can I get some info from RG owners about how much wind then get on their hands. I am a tall guy and will have the handle bars further forward then stock.

Thanks

I just went to a Street Glide from a Road Glide mostly for that reason. I have a huge box full of gloves that I tried with the Roadie trying to keep my hands warm. It just never happened. The Street Glide seems to have fixed my cold hand problem.

I will say that the Roadie is a much more over all comfortable ride but to get rid of the harsh pain I was having with cold hands, the Street Glide was just the ticket.

Your hands are not behind the fairing on a road glide.

RG will have more wind all over. Buffeting is also horrible. I had a RG for a week while I had a brake reservoir repaired.

Check out Fox Creek Leather. I have a RG and wear the gloves year round, even in the California heat. You never know when you are going to need skid protection when sliding on the pavement.

There's plenty, but I have Wild1's Chubby Bars model 575 on my Ultra, so I'm kinda used to it. It's not a problem for me unless it's cold out.

NOTHING beats Gerbings - riding with cold hands is now a choice

with respects to ANY bike.... have someone stand the bike upright - hands on grips...now YOU stand out front and get down to headlight level and look, can you see the hands??? granted air/wind will be pushe out due to fairing but if you can see the hands - chances are the COLD will find you...

I have the heated gloves and last April, my wife and I rode Over the New Mexico Sandia Mountains as we approached the top - it started to Snow and continued for over an hour - Snow did NOT stick to the ground. We were riding an RG with Roadgear gortex pants, Gerbings heated liners and Gloves 3/4 Shoie helmets with http://www.schampa.com/product_p/ng001.htm Schampa neckgaiter - greatest riding gear I have... With the hour riding in the snow we were warm as a bug in the rug - the only thing that got a little cold was my toes... Dress right and you can ride the RG anywhere.
