My right saddlebag latch has just recently started opening on my last ride around Roan Mtn. I've checked the manual and it tells that I have to adjust the latch fingers and I was hoping someone could let me know where they are. I believe it's talking about the small latches on the left and right side which have the black pieces of plastic on them. I'm sure that's what they're talking about but the pic in the manual is very vague. Thanks for the help...........
I just keep mine locked. I was told that was the best way to keep them closed. I haven't had any problems with mine yet to where I need to adjust them.

Not that this is the problem that you have, but I was having problems with my right side bag on my 2003 RK and someone on the forums here said to check that fabric attached to the lid and make sure it isn't getting caught where it closes. Sure enough when I run my hand along under there it was getting caught.
Scott,
Open the latch and on the saddle bag itself you will see two tabs at the bottom of the latch mechanism. Now close the lid and lower the latch and watch where the latch hits those two tabs. Mine didn't hit at all. Take a small screw driver and gently pull up on both of the tabs until they just hit the bottom of the lids latch. I had the same problem and I had a mechanic show me this.
I'll bet money that it is the fabric strap getting caught between tje lid and the bag. Just reach in under the lid and make sure the fabric is out of the way before latching it down.
I have the same problem on the left bag of my 02 Road King. The service department at the dealership says they are not adjustable. Rather than replace the latch mechanism, I do like most of the other posters, lock em!
