That is amazing that the bike you guys and the bike made it though with no ill effects. Count your blessings. I don't ride at night unless I have to, my eyesight is not as good anymore.

Also, this is just my $0.02 - but when I hear people say "I had to lay her down" I roll my eyes. Why not just say, "I screwed up and I crashed." Cuz that's what actually happened. No bravado about it - need to learn and move on. IMHO.
