You're right, no resemblance except they are long and chrome-plated.
The slash downs, slash down from the full diameter of the muffler were the Harley's taper down then slash down.
The new Jackpots have a less-severe angle on the slash-cut compared to the old design. The new slash-ups, for example, will have about the same angle as the saddlebag rear.
I would like to know if the straight cut Jackpots would accept any custom tips.
Jamie is going to offer custom tips (polished and black) for the slash-up and -down, but the last I heard not the straight-cut Jackpots. I'm very anxious to see these, and I have a feeling I'm going to like the black tips.

Sound is the same as our previous Jackpot Dyno Tuned mufflers. We are also offering an optional Competition baffle which is a Stainless Steel straight thru core, these baffles are quite a bit louder.
Just an update that the Jackpot Dyno Tuned mufflers have began shipping today starting with the Straight Cut mufflers. Slash down and Slash up mufflers will start shipping in the next several days as well. We are processing/shipping pre-orders now and we are accepting and shipping new orders as well. Thank you all for your support.

Jamie, is it true that tips will not be available for straight cut Jackpots? If this is true, will any other tip fit? Will a Rush tip fit a Jackpot?
When will the competition baffle be available, and do you have a cost on it yet? Can they be used with stock '09 header? Thanks Jamie!
The Jackpot competition baffles will be available about the end of October. They are $99.95 for a set, they are full length Stainless Steel tig welded cores and include a package of Silent Sport exhaust packing. These work excellent with the stock headpipe, and the competition baffles are tuned for maximum high RPM performance and very agressive sound.
