Congrats on the new bike a little early. If you ride an Ultra you won't ever be happy with a heritage again. Not saying anything bad about Heritages but the Ultra is the "Cadilac" of the bike world.
You will look back and will tell yourself, I should have done this a lot sooner. Enjoy that Ultra like I know you will, and the wife will be especially planning a lot more rides and trips in the near future. You're going to luv it.
I have had my Ultra (vivid black) for a month now, 1600 miles so far. Keep asking myself why I waited all these years to get one!! Nothing like it, I'll never be without one again!!!
Congrats on the change to the Ultra. The Hrtg. is a awsome bike but does'nt compare to the Ultra IMHO.The stereo is nice to have and all the storage comes in handy.I know you'll enjoy it.

Terry, y youngesst daughter will soon turn 26. When she was in college. I was deiving her around on a visit and commented how nice a certain Cadilac looked. Her response. "oh no, Dad's getting old. Only old people like Cadilacs" Gllad she didn't catch me drooling over an Ultra at the dealer's yesterday! Art
Thanks for all the positive feedback on my proposed switch from the Heritage to the Ultra. It really makes me feel a lot better. The last hurdle is my bride of 43 years. Was thinking of tricking her into a ride tomorrow and ending up at, "Surprise!" a Harley Dealer.
After reflecting on the last 43 years with her, I better try a new plan. "We'll honey, big day tomorrow! We are finally going to get a chance to take a new Ultra out for a ride!" And she says, "You're not really thinking of getting a new bike are you? You just got a new bike last September!" "We'll honey" I say, "..............." I gotta say something pretty good here and not fall apart. We could have a contest for the best "Well honey" comeback. If I use the comeback and it works, Mac can make a "Hall of Fame" forum, and we'll honor the first winner in there. Remember, I wan't be the last one of us in this position.
Now, I know I can just take the bull by the horns and used the time honored "Harley Man" way. You know the one, "Get you're old nearly *** on the Heritage, we're going down to the Phoenix Valley, where it's gonna be hotter than hell today, and get ME a new Ultra Glide. Do it....NOW!' Sounds good, but the Old Reverend has a little wuss running in his veins these days. So, any help would be much appreciated.

Just tell her your doing it for her. She will be much more comfortable.. I really think if she rides on it she will want it. I think female passengers sell more Ultras than Harley. Enjoy your new ride.
Well, it's Friday...4:45 PM CDT. They're prob not home yet, but Rev., I WANT A REPORT waiting for me when I get home tonight (after I take the Mrs. out to eat and maybe a movie. Art
