why turn off passing lamps?

I only use them when I need them, I guess I'm just old school!

Ah yes, I knew this group would help me out. I am riding with a group tonight and will turn them off. I think I am going to do the mod so they can work with brights on. What a group, thanks

Well I run them on all the time. Set up like the factory off on high beams and on with the lows......of course then I run the HD fog lights on the crash bars all the time also. I had a friend see me the other day coming at him across the intersection. He thought he just saw a space ship!!!

I never turn mine off, never will. They are not the same beam as a headlight so I can't see them blinding anyone, from hehind or oncoming. BTW, wiring them to be on with high beams is not legal according to Federal DOT. I'd look it up again and post the link but reading anything from the ZOG hurts my head.

Neither are loud pipes, removing the passenger strap from the seat, modifying the air cleaner, and...........

I always leave mine on but after reading some of these posts I will be more courteous to my fellow riders at night when the situation calls for it

I did the wiring mod from under the inner fairing on the right side by the fork, without needing to remove the outer - 07 FLHTC.

Agreed. Those of you that say you never turn them off........none of your friends never complain or do you always ride alone? Oh, maybe they make you ride up front but never told you why?
