Ah yes, I knew this group would help me out. I am riding with a group tonight and will turn them off. I think I am going to do the mod so they can work with brights on. What a group, thanks
How about courtesy? You're ridin' behind your friend, at night, at a bike event, & you have your high beam & both passing lamps on. Yeah, you can be seen, but between the glare from the oncoming guy with the same three lights & your lights in his mirrors your friend can't see anything. Multiply that by the number of friends following you & the number of other "safety minded" riders at an event & you should be able to figure out why I ride at the back of the group............
Well I run them on all the time. Set up like the factory off on high beams and on with the lows......of course then I run the HD fog lights on the crash bars all the time also. I had a friend see me the other day coming at him across the intersection. He thought he just saw a space ship!!!
I never turn mine off, never will. They are not the same beam as a headlight so I can't see them blinding anyone, from hehind or oncoming. BTW, wiring them to be on with high beams is not legal according to Federal DOT. I'd look it up again and post the link but reading anything from the ZOG hurts my head.

Agreed. Those of you that say you never turn them off........none of your friends never complain or do you always ride alone? Oh, maybe they make you ride up front but never told you why?
