PROBLEM - Corbin Classic Solo and HD's Solo Detachable Tour Pak Rack
Corbin's website says (correctly) that the Classic Solo won't work with the HD solo detachable tour pak rack. I recently installed the Classic solo and couldn't be more pleased with it. However, I'd like to know if anyone has modified the HD solo detach rack to work with this seat. I have the solo rack with an aftermarket tour pak and would like to use this combo since it's very light weight and ample for my solo trips.
The fitment problem is caused by the skirt at the back of the seat that covers the mounting hardware--it interferes with the front of the solo rack preventing the rack from mating with the mounting hardware.
Before I get the grinder out, I'd like to know if any of you have modified the rack to work with this seat.
I bought a C&C solo seat to use with my quick detachables. I actually somewhat like it better than the Corbin. I still put the Corbin on occasionally but not as much as I used to. The C&C works just fine with the detachables.
