Default front fork leaking

I have noticed splash marks on my left primary and horn cover recently. I have just blown it off thinking that it was water splash from the front tire or something like that. Today was a great day so after polishing the crome up a little bit I went for a little ride about 40 miles when i stopped I looked down to find that my covers were covered again. after further inspection I noticed that the left cover for my upper fork arm is where my problem was coming from.
Now here is where the problem lies. I leave California this friday to go to Montana for 2 weeks of riding with my dad that I have not seen in a few years. I am hoping that my dealer can rebuild my fork arm before Friday (I am not holding my breath) or if they can just service her up until I make it back then rebuild it. If all else fails I will take it as is and just be careful.
Anyone else run into any problems with leaking fork seals? the bike only has 3,000 miles on it.
