Why is my fuel gauge bouncing I moved the fuel float from the damaged Tank to a newly used repainted one Yes its the right tank....Please Help

Check your connections (electrical).

With the fuel float arm hinged to make it easy to remove and install the fuel pump and float assembily. Make sure the float arm is in the down unlocked position.

Did you follow the manual? Upon reinstall you have to be careful so you don't damage or bend the mechanism.
