We took the bike in for a new top end. 106 build with a Bob Woods TW7HG-7 gear driven cam. D&D Fatcat two into on with quiet baffles.
The problem is this. the pipes are way to loud at highway speeds and the bike has a noticable amount more vibration than before. We love to take trips but the vibration and sound is killing us. We love the quietness of the factory pipes so I decided to see if i couldn't find a 07 or 08 factory pipes off a 110 CVO ultra and try that. As for the vibration. I didnt think the bob woods cams would create that much vibration. Is that the case or is there another cam that has great low end torque that sould be smoother. and is there anything I can do for my 07 FLHX in the way of getting red of the pulsations that I feel. Does harley sell the back rubber pully for a 07 ?
As for as the bad vibs, I think thats just the nature of the beast. Mine vibrates a little more also.
As for as the pipes, get some 2 to 1 Supertrapp with the turning disc. I have the same problem with the Thunderheader, way too load for me. I go to the ST's
Also, like was said before, a dyno mite solve some of the vib prob.
Forgot to add, go to HDpipes.com for the cheapest price on pipes I've ever seen. 527. for 2 to 1 Supertrapps

I thought the bike was tuned well but it jumps in low rpm like in 2000 to 2500 and it shakes bad at idle. My windshield cracked because of it. As for the D&D two into one, got to sell them and get something quiter. I really thought I would of got more bottom end but I didn't/ I got the D&D big bore with the quiet baffle which is the same as regular baffles except its wraped a little with fiberglass. I wasn't impressed.
