I had that happen with my '05 Ultra Classic. I had installed chrome screws in place of the stock Black ones on the handlebar clamps that holds the brake reservoir and pinched the kill switch wire. When that happen on my bike, it blew the accessory fuse.

I've had it happen twice on my 05. I still can't find a problem, I hope it doesn't happen again. Same as above, driving along bike just dies. Stop, turn the key off and back on, bike starts right up and away you go.

I'll bet good money your problem is the Main Curcuit breaker is going down! I've had that happen on my '97 and '02 Ultra too. It is a cheep easy fix!

Is there a way to check the main breaker to see if it is going bad? I hate to just start buying a bunch of parts in hopes of fixing the problem.

No way to check. I can't remember but I don't think they are that much. If you're not blowing fuses it could be this or a loose wire.

Main circuit breaker going bad? Are you talking about a relay?

Another item to replace is the engine temp sensor. That is what caused this problem on my bike, same symptoms. $37 to replace.
